Mapping the Potential of Petang Village, Badung as an Integrated Agriculture-Based Tourism Model

The integration of agriculture and tourism has gained prominence as a sustainable development strategy for rural areas. This study maps the potential of Petang Village, Badung, Bali, intending to map its potential to serve as a model for integrated agriculture-based tourism. The study uses a mixed-methods approach, combining GIS, field surveys, and in- depth interviews. The results of the study show that Petang Village has some agricultural resources, including rice fields, vegetable gardens, and fruit orchards such as bananas, cocoas, mangosteens, and Durians. In addition to agricultural resources, several breeding centers for chickens and pigs are also found. The village also has several tourist attractions, such as temples, and waterfalls. The study also found that there is a strong interest among farmers and tourism stakeholders in developing integrated agriculture-based tourism in the village. However, several challenges need to be addressed, such as the decreasing farming production, lack of tourist infrastructures, and the need for better marketing. This study result can be used as a source of basic information to make better development planning for the Tourism Village of Petang.
